Language and literacy are rooted in social interactions.
Kids learned about Zebra as a zoo animal; inculcated with numbers. A very big Zebra was drawn with no stripes. Kids were given the task of putting the stripes based on the numbers called out by the teacher.

Kids were taught that elephant and pigeons have grey bodies. In that lite, they had elephant mask on, raced with feathers to put on the pigeon. Self-esteem is raised as they feel successful in any given task
They were introduced to number /9/ by tracing it on worksheets of papers.
