What do you know about deserts?
The famous camel is worth a mention. They are extremely well adapted to desert life. Camels have two rows of eyelashes to protect their eyes from the dust; they can even close their nostrils to stop them inhaling sand. Kids were so amazed at hearing this about deserts. They were in sand searching for this
. Behind the camels were letters. We inculcated literacy with a desert animal. In this activity kids also learned about the brown color.
Also when you see this plant….. in the desert be careful because it can hurt you. Kids were very excited to know what that plant was as they were shown samples to make it out themselves. Yes, it’s called Cactus. It was a beautiful craft.
